Founded in 1979, Northern Earth is the world’s longest-running journal combining interests in archaeology, folklore, neo-antiquarianism, earth mysteries, hauntology, psychogeography, and phenomenology, exploring the many ways in which people interact with place.
This quarterly magazine looks at historical and contemporary cultural and geographical environments free from agendas or beliefs. Each issue includes features and news on megalithic sites, alignments, sacred landscapes, other landscape issues, folklore, tradition, and strange phenomena.
