Communicating Vessels #31
Edited by Anthony Walent
Communicating Vessels is a beautifully produced anarchist zine from Tucson, Arizona that looks at life through a philosophical and literary lens. It was a major inspiration for Fiddler’s Green Peculiar Parish Magazine and we recommend it highly.
Anthony devotes most of Communicating Vessels 31 to a personal story of his housing situation, moving into a new apartment after a harrowing eviction by his previous landlord. He lends wider context to his account by interspersing the story with reflections on his concurrent reading of Dante’s Divine Comedy, along with acknowledgment of the toxic dynamic between tenant and landlord in 21st-century America. As usual, Communicating Vessels has a long letters column and reviews of sympathetic publications.
44-page pamphlet plus covers, with black-and-white illustrations throughout.
